EXECUTIVE BOARD 2020-2021

Get to know your 2020-2021 board officers here! As a team, we work together to plan meetings, fundraisers, events, and activities -- all of which enable members from every cohort and from other NSNA chapters to build connections. We hope to execute all of these to make SNA more successful with each passing year. Feel free to ask any board officers questions --  we are more than happy to assist!

Jenny N.,

Co-President

Hey there, fellow student nurses! I am entering my 2nd year in the nursing program and I'm super ecstatic to be serving as your Co-President for the 2020-2021 academic year. SNA has always been an organization I held dear to my heart because I was a member and officer (Historian 2017-2018, Event Chair 2018-2020) since my first year of pre-nursing. During my leisure time, I bullet-journal and listen to R&B. I most certainly hope to travel worldwide after graduation. My aspiration for nursing is to work on a hematology-oncology pediatric floor or in L&D. Here’s to making SNA an exciting experience!

Rona N.,

Treasurer

Hello everyone! This is Rona, one of your Co-Treasurers. I have learned and grown so much during my last two years in PACSON and SNA. Therefore, in my senior year, I would like to give back to the organization I love by fulfilling the roles of a Co-Treasurer. My aspiration for nursing is to become an emergency nurse because I love the ED’s fast pace and unpredictability. For this reason, I usually hike and explore new places during my leisure time. If you want to hit the trail or find out more information about SNA and nursing in general, I am here for you. I hope we’ll have a fantastic 2020-2021 school year together.

Being a part of SNA since 2019 has provided me the chance to meet so many kind and hard-working future nurses. I will do my very best and diligently work with everyone in SNA to strive for a fun and awesome year!

Kaitlyn P.,

Co-President

Greetings everyone, Kait here! I am currently in my second year of the BSN program and I am interested in pursuing labor & delivery or pediatric nursing. SNA holds such a special place in my heart and I cannot wait to give back to the organization by serving as Co-President this 2020-2021 school year. I’ve been a member since Fall 2017 as a pre-nursing student and I held the role of Event Chair from 2018-2020. I am a huge latte fanatic and the beach is my favorite place to be at. In the future, I aspire to travel the world and possibly obtain an MSN degree to practice as an NP. Let’s make this year a good one, my fellow student nurses!

Matthew C.,

Historian

I began photography as a hobby living on Okinawa and Mt. Fuji, JP, back in 2018. I have been taking pictures ever since, and I have a strong interest in photographing our club events. We are sure to enjoy our time in SNA. (It's filled with great people) I use a Nikon D3400 DSLR Camera. My other hobbies include the gym, reading books, and playing sports. Thank you all for letting me be a historian for SNA!

Benjamin C.,

Class Delegate of 2021

Hello! My name is Benjamin, I am from the class of 2021. I’ve always been interested in the medical field and I’ve been extremely happy with my decision to pursue nursing here at Cal State LA. I am an avid binge watcher of movies and shows, someone who loves to try new foods, and a person who enjoys going to museums (on free days of course). As of now, I am still learning about what ways I want to contribute to the field of nursing. I am not particularly sure what unit I want to work in, but am keeping an open mind.
